Engineering, Design, Business or ... ?

Dear Indonesian Students,
Especially the 12th graders

Hi seniors!
Have you thought what major would you like to take in the university level? Probably, YES! Some of private universities in Indonesia have opened their registrations for direct admission for the next term. So I bet that some of you have chosen the major but the problem is, "is that really the major you like?"

Sometimes, 12 graders are too late to think what major they like so that they choose the major based on their parents, or probably their friends. Whereas choosing a suitable major for you would make you enjoy uni life. Life in uni is not as easy as in high school and university students often say that if it is possible, they wanna come back to high school. By taking a major you like, you'll never feel burdened.

IF you haven't choose your major yet, and you don't know what major you should take, I'll give some tips! ;)

1. KNOW YOURSELF
It is said that there's none knows you better than yourself. Well, it's true! If you feel that you don't know yourself yet, I'll tell you a link where you can know your personality which is only able to be taken once in 6 months. You only need to do a questionnaire(in English) which takes around 30 minutes and they will give you clear explanation of the result.
Talent Today: www.talentoday.com

2. TAKE A PSYCHOTEST
Psychotest is expensive but if you are reading this article right now, you are lucky! My friends told me a website for students whose confused of choosing a major. In that website, you can know yourself, found your interests and personalities, recommendation of jobs, exploration of careers and majors, and make your own CV. You will also need to do questionnaire in Bahasa,

3. UNIVERSITIES SURFING
If you have known what major you wanna take, you should choose which universities you wanna go in. Each university has different quality of each majors so you are required to check the quality. Since technology has grown so much, you can search a good university both in Indonesia and abroad. You can google it with a keyword such as "Ranking universitas teknik terbaik di Indonesia" or "Rank of the best universities in the world", etc.

Above are some tips for my beloved seniors. If you are a 10th graders and 11th graders, please think what major you wanna take. I'm now studying at grade 11th and I was thinking of what major I wanna take and it was really confusing. But I have found several majors to take! :D I did a research btw hahaha.

Best of luck 12th graderssss!

Malang and Jogjakarta, here I come!

HI GUYS! So sorry for not updating for sooooooooo llllllllooooooonnnnnnnggggggg. Well, school is very busy :(

Since mid-term test has over, I'm going to Malang and Jogjakarta on Saturday! Yay! I'm just so happy to go after test :D But I'm a bit sad since the plan of going to Mount Bromo is cancelled due to its eruption. Instead going to Mt. Bromo, I'm going to Mt. Dieng and it also has a nice view!

I promise all of you I'll tell about my trip there ;) So, stay tune!

Love Language

Holaaa! So, some months ago I was curious of my friend's photo. Her photo was shown just words like Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Acts of Service, etc. Next to those words, there were numbers which I had guessed as a score. Eventually I asked her what the meaning of those was. She told me that those were love language and she asked me to take the test so that she could know what my love language was haha.

There are 5 love languages and I wanna describe each of the love languages based on 5 Love Languges. I take the description from the test I took for teens, so I'm not sure if this description is the same as the adults one.

So here we go! Check the description below

1. Words of Affirmation
Actions don’t always speak louder than words. If this is your love language, unsolicited compliments mean the world to you. Hearing the words, “I love you,” are important—hearing the reasons behind that love sends your spirits skyward. Insults can leave you shattered and are not easily forgotten. You thrive on hearing kind and encouraging words that build you up.

2. Acts of Service
Can helping with homework really be an expression of love? Absolutely! Anything you do to ease the burden of responsibilities weighing on an “Acts of Service” person will speak volumes. The words he or she most wants to hear: “Let me do that for you.” Laziness, broken commitments, and making more work for them tell speakers of this language their feelings don’t matter. When others serve you out of love (and not obligation), you feel truly valued and loved.

3. Receiving Gifts
Don’t mistake this love language for materialism; the receiver of gifts thrives on the love, thoughtfulness, and effort behind the gift. If you speak this language, the perfect gift or gesture shows that you are known, you are cared for, and you are prized above whatever was sacrificed to bring the gift to you. A missed birthday or a hasty, thoughtless gift would be disastrous—so would the absence of everyday gestures. Gifts are heartfelt symbols to you of someone else's love and affection for you.

4. Quality Time
In Quality Time, nothing says “I love you” like full, undivided attention. Being there for this type of person is critical, but really being there—with the TV off, fork and knife down, and all chores and tasks on standby—makes you feel truly special and loved. Distractions, postponed activities, or the failure to listen can be especially hurtful. Whether itʼs spending uninterrupted time talking with someone else or doing activities together, you deepen your connection with others through sharing time.

5. Physical Touch
A person whose primary language is Physical Touch is, not surprisingly, very touchy. Hugs, pats on the back, and thoughtful touches on the arm—they can all be ways to show excitement, concern, care, and love. Physical presence and accessibility are crucial, while neglect or abuse can be unforgivable and destructive. Appropriate and timely touches communicate warmth, safety, and love to you.

I bet after reading this you wanna take the test as well hahaha. If your age is between 13-17, take the test here. If your age is 18 and above, take the test here. For the adults one, you need to enter your email, gender, and age. Fortunately for teens, you don't need to enter your email. After doing the test, you can tell me what your result is so that I know how to treat you well based on your love language hahaha.

This test isn’t a game with a scorecard! The payoff of speaking each other’s love language is a greater sense of connection. This translates into better communication, increased understanding, and, ultimately, an improved relationship. (Cr: here)

Btw, the order above isn't based on my highest score. It is true that my highest score is in Words of Affirmation but the rests aren't in order. Since my highest score is in Words of Affirmation, I wanna spread a good vibe to brighten up your day :D (Cr: SkillShare) Cheers!

Rudy Habibie (Film)

Hi guys! As I promised that I'll try to update this blog during holiday, I'd like to review a movie that I watched some days ago. I watched an Indonesia movie titled "Rudy Habibie".

If you live outside Indonesia, you'll probably not know who Rudy Habibie is. In Indonesia, Rudy Habibie is known as B.J Habibie and he is the third president of Indonesia. He is also the seventh vice president of Indonesia. It is said that Rudy Habibie is the second film of Habibie & Ainun but for me, it is not the second because the movie is focus on the young Rudy.

Genre : Drama
Producer : Manoj Punjabi
Director: Hanung Bramantyo
Script : Ginanti S. Noer
Starred:
Reza Rahadian
Chelsea Islan
Indah Permatasari
Ernest Prakasa
Boris Bokir
Cakra Khan
Verdi Solaiman
Donny Damara
Dian Nitami
Pandji Pragiwaksono

Synopsis (source: Pusat Sinopsis)
Rudy Habibie tells a story a few decades before the movie of Habibie & Ainun. This film tells us the story of young person who has lots of dreams and love stories.

Rudy had a dream to succeed in making an aeroplane as it was a message from his late father. However, there were lots of obstacles for him to achieve his dream such as financial, and time. Rudy had eventually gone to study in RWTH in Ancheen, West Germany.

In Germany, Rudy lived within the limit and he was homesick. Rudy learnt the meaning of love, friendship, and betrayal from his new Indonesian friends who studied in Ancheen as well.

This film is so touching because I can see someone who really loves his country. I see Rudy Habibie as someone who never forgets about his hometown because he studied abroad in purpose of coming back to Indonesia to build the country. You might have ever heard that Rudy had ever been offered a citizenship of Germany because of his genius. Instead of taking the offer, he still insisted to come back to Indonesia.

My favorite actor in this film is Reza Rahadian who plays as Rudy Habibie. In my opinion, he is such a great actor because his accent is so similar with the real Rudy Habibie. He really enjoys being Rudy because the way he act is so natural. This movie is recorded in both Indonesia and Germany.

The duration of this film is 143 minutes and this film is showed in all theaters in Indonesia. If I'm not mistaken, this film is also showed in Malaysia. Oh ya, if you want to enjoy the cheap yet profitable, you should go to the theater on weekday because the ticket is only for 25K-30K IDR. 25K-30K IDR for 143mins, isn't that cheap?? Let me tell you that this movie is good, so that's why I write profitable.

I shed a tears during watching this hahaha. You might say that I was too excessive, but it really depends on each person's opinion.

I'd give this move 9/10 ;D

Holiday is almost over!

Hii guys! So sorry for not updating for sooooo llllllooooonnnnngggggg. Honestly, I'm lazy to post haha. So how's your holiday? This time I don't go to another city nor country. Actually, I went to Jakarta but it was just for a day so it wasn't counted as a holiday lol.

Unfortunately, holiday is almost over which means we need to go back to school and study. I need to tell you something, most of you might have already known that most of my after school days are filled by tuitions even in a holiday. Fyi, this holiday I only went to tuition for 3 times, so it wasn't considered as studying okay. Honestly, I hate studying but I'm thinking of having a bright future, so I need to prepare myself for the new term hahaha.

To make my holiday fun, I do something I love. Yup, I love take a flatlay. So let me promote my Instagram account which is filled by flat lays, it's heyitsgracenathh.

Please do follow! :) Thanks, peepsss!

Technology is Good and "Good"

In the past few years, we can see that technology has grown so much. The development of technology is very helpful for us especially in communication. Lots of people use smart phones to communicate easier with others mainly to the ones who live far away. There are lots of applications that offer an easy way to interact with others such as LINE, Facebook Messager, and Whatsapp. I agree to a large extent that today’s technology is so useful.

First, technology makes our communication with the ones who live away easier. In the past, we had to send a letter to those who did not live around us. For instance, in the past we needed to hand write the letter, to go to the post office and it took a long time for the letter to be read. It was troublesome but fortunately, there is an email today which is making send letters easier. Today we do not need to bother our selves going to a post office because in just a second, our letter has been sent.

Second, technology is able to connect us with someone that we have been lost contact for so many years. Facebook is an application that will help us searching for that person. As we can see that nowadays a 9-year-old kid has already had a facebook account which means the person, who you are searching for, use facebook. For example, there is my primary school friend who moved to Australia about 8 years ago and since she moved, I had never known where she was until I found her in facebook. I started to use Facebook Messager to ask how she was, where she lived, and many more.

In the other hand, as we can see that technology helps us a lot, we often stuck in our new world. We often ignore people around us and only focus on our phones. It is said that technology makes us close with the far ones, but we are getting far with the people around. For instance, we often see that lots of family have dinner together, but each member is focus on their phones. It is ironic how technology has engulfed all our attentions.

In a nutshell, the development of technology does make most things easier. We need to be able to use technology since it is very useful. Nonetheless, we should be able to limit our selves by not using it too much. We need to appreciate the presences of people around us and let technology help us to communicate with others away easier without making us as a slave of technology.

Cerita-Kita Batch 3 Casting Call

HIII GUYSSS!!!! SO SORRY FOR NOT UPDATING FOR SO LONG T_T school is busy but fortunately I'm having my holiday now! Yay ehehe as I promised before. I'd like to tell you my experience when joining Cerita-Kira Batch 3 Casting Call. I'm a bt lazy to write in English so I'll just write this in Bahasa ok hehehe

Hai guys! Cerita Kita kali ini diadain di 3 kota yang pertama di Bandung, Surabaya dan yang terakhir di Jakarta. Aku gatau pasti sih ya berapa orang yang daftar dari Bandung cuma mereka seleksi kita jadi top 100 buat join workshopnya dan yayyy I was chosen as the top 100. Pertamanya pas aku liat di web mereka, nama aku ga ada sih tapi beberapa hari kemudian kaya dihubungin gitu sama pihak GoGirl and I was super excited!

Aku ga menang sih iPadnya hahaha tapi seneng banget bisa ikut workshop kaya gitu and honestly, it was my first time joining a workshop hahaha kasian banget ya gue. Ikutan yaaaa!

Failure

I used to be too ambitious a few years backward. I used to have a very huge desire to be the best in every single moment of my life. No, I had never wanted to be the best student but I wanted to be the best in something I wanted to. I would do everything in order to achieve my desire but I did not cheat. I was even willing to have extra lessons, to extend my studying hours, and to do every given papers. I had ever studied until 4a.m. I knew it was bad for my health but I needed it.

Failure, a word that I was afraid of. I used to be so pessimistic and I was really scared failing. I was afraid all of the efforts I had put to achieve my desire would end up as a failure. I sought lots of encouraging words from people around me but still the negative thoughts could not get rid off my mind.

Once I faced a very big failure and all of my fears were like finally happened, my efforts ended up as a failure. I did hate my life, my useless effort, and even my God. I hated everything. I was really messed up. Why did I have to face this? I could not stop wondering why. I cried all night long because I really lost in anger, guilty, and sadness. Tears could not stop tearing down on my cheeks. My life was so miserable. My closest people tried to cheer me up but I ignored them because my sadness was too deep.

I tried to get up from my past failure. I hung on a quote that life went on no matter what. I tried to be strong but I could not get rid off my failure. I kept thinking of it but I used to hide it by smiling. None knew the real feeling of mine when I still lost in mixed feeling although the failure had happened in few weeks ago.

Days, weeks, and months had finally passed. I did better and I could forget the failure although some times I remembered it. I also realised that my effort would never end up as a failure but it would be a new beginning of another great moment in life to be more successful. I was also really thankful to my God that He let me face a failure. I could learn lots of things through my failure because failure is the beginning of success. I also learnt that failure was not the end of everything because it was said that you must hurt in order to know, fall in order to grow, and lose in order to gain.

Homemade Cooking is Never Wrong!

Have you tried a McD chicken nuggets? It's so tasty and also cheap, right?
But, have you ever wonder we can make those tasty nuggets at home?
Frankly, the taste of homemade nuggets is different from McD, but surely it's also delicious and healthy!

I watched Kokiku.tv in YouTube, and this is the recipe: (it works!)

Ingredients:
- one minced chicken breast
- one carrot (finely grated, or you can replace it with another chopped/grated vegetables)
- two loaves of bread, without the skin
- spices (finely crushed) : one clove of garlic, half teaspoon of pepper, and salt
- two eggs
- bread crumbs

step by step:
1. Chop the bread, then soak it into chicken broth or water
2. Put chicken into a medium large bowl, and then stir with vegetables and egg
3. Stir the spices into the chicken batter until it mixed well
4. Take the bread out of the chicken broth, and mix it with the chicken batter until it smooth
5. Put the mixture into square tray or pan, not too big
6. Steam for 30 minutes
7. Cool the mixture (room temperature) and put it into the refrigerator for 10 minutes
8. Cut the mixture in square (or whatever you want..)
9. Coat the nuggets with egg, and then coat it with bread crumbs
10. If you want a thick nugget skin, you can coat it again with egg and then with bread crumbs
11. Fry it in  hot vegetable oil
12. Enjoy!

Tea Time!

Hey hola hi hai guys! I'm still having exam tomorrow and fortunately tomorrow is language exams, Bahasa and English. When I took a break during studying, I went downstairs and I made a cup of ice chocolate. I also opened oreo and suddenly an idea popped up in my mind. Can you guess what's my idea? Haha. Ya, I thought of taking flat lay. Honestly instead of studying, I'll choose another activity to do. Who's like studying except the genius ones? Like now, instead of studying, I'm writing this blog! But the fact is I have done studying so I can write here hehe.
Oh ya so back to the flat lay. I took it in the afternoon and the light was quite fine. I also used vscocam to make my flat lay a bit better. Enjoy take a look at my flat layyy

Sometimes you have to take a break and breathe
before you can keep moving forward.

—Kayla Panchisin

I think that flat lay is the best so far, isn't it? Hahaha. So ya once again, good luck for mid term test!

Just believe in yourself. Even if you don't, pretend that you do and, at some point, you will.

Cerita-Kita Batch 3 Casting Call

Hiiii guys!! It's so sad that this week I'm having a mid term exam T_T And good luck for all of my friends both 10th and 11th graders for mid term and for the 12th grader students who are facing oral test this week! All of the hard works will always pay off :) I want to tell you something hahaha maybe it's like telling a story hahaha

Yesterday while I was doing my revision for today's test, I received a call from Jakarta. I was listening into a radio on my phone when it rang so I was a bit shocked hahaha. It was like who was calling at this time(it was around 8pm) from Jakarta and I picked up the call. The person over the phone said "Are you Grace?". Wow hahaha she knew my name! Then it must be a real call for me. She continued talking and OMGGGG! It was such a good news in the middle of studying.

"I'm from GoGirl! Magazine and I wanna inform you that you are chosen as one of the 100 best participants in Bandung to join our workshop this Saturday." I WAS REALLY SHOCKED! How I could be chosen because some days ago I had looked at their website and there wasn't my name. She said that it was a technical problem. WOWOWOWOW! SERIOUSLY, I'M SO HAPPY!!! Who doesn't know about GoGirl! Magz and Clean&Clear? Most of young girls in Indonesia definitely know those. So here's the competition advertisement:

I knew this competition from Instagram because it has new features. Nowadays, Instagram shows advertisements on our timeline so thanks to Instagram! And the reason why I registered is because of my interest in writing. I also want to deepen my skill and yay, I'm chosen! Thanks to God, Gogirl! Magz, and Clear&Clear.

It will be a wonderful experience to join the workshop because especially it's focused on writing, photography(especially for Instagram), fashion, and beauty. As a young girl myself, those workshop's topics will be very useful for me :D Those classes will be taught by professional coaches from Gogirl! Magz.
Writing Workshop will be taught by Nina Moran, CEO of Gogirl! Magazine & Writer.
Fashion Workshop will be taught by Githa Moran, Fashion Editor of Gogirl! Magazine.
Beauty workshop will be taught by Agnez Oryza, Beauty Blogger.
And last but not least is Photography Workshop, Pramudia, Instagram Specialist and Influencer.

Don't you think it will be an amazing experience to have??? I can't really wait to join the workshop this Saturday. I'm way too happpppyyyyyyy!! I also hope I will be one of the 12 winners to contribute my articles :D Please pray for me, guys! Haha it'll mean a lot ♥

Ok, for all of you who want to experience the workshop and who live around Jakarta and Surabaya, you can join that! Click the image bellow to go to the web. Good luck!
I'll update the workshop between this Saturday or Monday :D Cheers! Good luck for mid term test! ♥

Walking Down at Riau Sreet!

Holaaa guysss! Since this week is holiday, my best friends, Velicia and Sherlin, and I went to Riau Street last Thursday. Actually we had planned to go to Lembang but my father hand't allowed me to go since we would have gone there by taxi. Although we didn't go to Lembang, we still went to Riau Street that had lots of cafes and factory outlets around.

Velicia and I recorded the journey for our youtube as well :D So, before you continue reading this, please watch our video first!

First place to visit was The Secret Factory outlet which is located at Riau St. no 47. I had never gone there before although I have been passing it for around 11 years HAHA how sad. When we entered it, it was decorated so nicely! And yeah, you know what I did there, taking photos HAHAHA.

US :D
Sorry for low quality photo ><

I looked thinner HAHAHA
Thanks to Sherlin ;p

It had been cloudy since we went there and it began to drizzle so we walked fast to our next destination. We hadn't planned where to go so we just searched the nearest and nicest cafe haha. Finally, we went to Hummingbird which was far from the outlets. It is located at Progo St. no 14. The cafe was designed like a bird cage. The interior and the good are good. And yes! We always took photos because our first intention to go wasn't for eating but for taking photos.

Sherlin said there was a cute cafe nearby and thanked God the rain had stopped so we could continue our journey. Before going to that cafe, we searched for the cafe on google but there was no result about that cafe. Still we walked down Progo Street until we reached Cimanuk Street and there we went, Pocci Cafe. Actually Sherlin had told me a wrong name so there was no result. But yes, IT AS SUCH A NICE CAFE! I really enjoyed being there XD Oh, it was located at Cimanuk St. no 12. The place was so cozy and the interior was good as well! I couldn't help myself not to take photos there because it was super cute :')

Another photo of us :D

Sherlin! ^^

Total Solar Eclipse

A solar eclipse occurs when the moon gets between Earth and the sun, and the moon casts a shadow over Earth. A solar eclipse can only take place at the phase of new moon, when the moon passes directly between the sun and Earth and its shadows fall upon Earth’s surface. (source : http://www.space.com)

Total Solar Eclipse is such an amazing rare natural phenomenon that occurs once in a hundred years. This year is the first total solar eclipse in the 21st century and it only crosses above the 11 provinces in Indonesia. Lots of domestic and international tourists visited those 11 provinces just only to watch it. Although I don't live in those 11 provinces, I could still enjoy the solar eclipse. The eclipse was only 88.3% in Bandung but it was such an amazing view! I could see that the sun wasn't round anymore although the sky didn't become darker. Here is a photo of the eclipse, hope you can see it! :)

Women Run The World

 picture's source: here

Gender equality was not enforced long time ago because women were considered having a lower status than men. Women were often blamed, insulted and suppressed. It was such a pity to see women often got persecution in the past. Women sought for the gender quality because they were tired of being thought as a weak person. Fortunately, there were some women who were really meritorious in struggling for the gender equality.

We could see in the past that only men could get a good education because it was said that women would stay at home and be housewives. However, nowadays there are more business women than business men. Women can have a good education even until their Master Degree. Beside that, gender quality has not been really enforced because this year International Women's Day theme is "Planet 50-50 by 2030: Step It Up for Gender Equality".

As written above, gender equality has not been really succeeded although some women had struggled for it in the past. It is targeted to achieve the "real"gender quality by 2030 which means it is still 14 years from now on. So as the young generation, we need to succeed this year's theme to step up for gender equality. Women are not weak, women should have the same status as men.

As today is International Women's day, I would like to tell you that as a woman, we need to be proud of our selves and to be strong. Don't let anyone drag we down because we are beautiful and special in our ways. Don't compare each of us or compete with others because we need inspire one another.

"A successful woman is the one who build a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at her." - unknown.

Happy International Women's Day!

Good Luck!

Holaaa! I'm having holiday this week so I can post a lot! Oh, good luck for my seniors who are facing exams this week :D But don't study so hard today because tomorrow is a holiday! Take a rest tonight ;D So this is a quote for you to boost up your spirit in studying

I wish all the seniors the best of luck!! Study hard, seniors :D Your hard work will always pay off.
Btw, the quote above doesn't mean that you don't need to do your best, you should do your best! It is true that sometimes to be successful in life, you don't need amazing grades. But it has never been wrong to give your best in everything, hasn't it? So, do your best!

May the odds be ever in your favor! ;D

Flat Lay!

Hii guys! What's up?? Nowadays, people like taking photos so much especially selfie. Not all people are fans of selfie but you can still share your story to your friends! There's a famous new way of capturing every single story of your life, it's the flat lay. Flat lay photo is a photo of objects on a flat surface that you take it from above. By doing so, the visual effect is one of “flattening” the photo. It has gone viral on Instagram lately, you can search #flatlays on Instagram. Oh ya recently, I like to take flatlays and here are 4 of my flatlays and yes, of course I posted them on my Instagram muehehe.

First flatlay I took. It's so bad, isn't it?

This is a gift for Jasmine as her sweet 17th's present XD

Oh, I don't only show you my flatlays but I'm gonna give you some tips how to take a good-looking flatlay as well! Although I know I'm still a beginner in taking flatlay. Hope it helps! :D

1. Choose the visual story you’re going to tell with your photo
Everything can be told in a flat lay. So think about what elements could best tell the story you choose.

2. Use a neutral background
You can use your white bed sheet as the background hahaha anything white will do for the background! :D The purpose of using neutral background is to avoid adding unnecessary noise to the photo.

3. Daylight is perfect!
Try to take your flatlay during the daylight because it will make your flat lay natural. Fyi, my first flatlay was taken in the afternoon and although I used an editor it couldn't make my flat lay better.

4. Contrast color is amazing!
To add visual interest, introduce a contrasting color to your flat lay.

5. Placing your objects on the floor
It would be easier for you to take the flat lay photo since you can get the height you need to shoot from above.

6.  Shoot the image in square
Although nowadays Instagram allows us to post not a square photo, it is always better to post your flat lay in 1:1 aspect.

7. Experiment and have fun.
Don't be afraid to try different placing of your objects, etc because it's just for social media. It’s not serious but it is a fantastic way to explore your creative side!

You can check flatlays on Instagram for more flat lays! :D Enjoy and happy taking flat lay!

Exam is Coming Soon!

Hi guys! How's school?? Some schools in Indonesia are having mid term test next week or in the next 3 weeks. For 12th graders, they are facing final exam in the next 2 weeks. The preparation for our exams is so important because we wanna get good marks, don't we? Although there are only Science, Math, Bahasa and English tested for mid term test in my school, I'm so lazy to prepare by making revision or at least reading the books haha. Ok, so I tell you that I'm not that diligent student who's so eager to get perfect marks for every subjects tested. For me, getting above 80 is a must, but getting perfect mark is a bonus because it depends on the preparation I do for my exam. Oh ya back to the topic! Since exam is coming soon, I'm giving you some tips for preparation before your exam:

1. Have enough time to study
We need to study some weeks before our exams or at least a week before. We usually plan to study a few weeks before but it turns out that we cram every materials a night before which is not effective. Look at the exam's schedule and start studying for the good marks! :D

2. Pay attention in class
You need to pay attention in class because sometimes a week before your exams the teacher will usually give some hints about your exam and you won't miss the hints to answer and study easily, will you?

3. Organize your study place
Make sure we have enough place to put our stuffs and our chairs comfortable :D

4. Make revision
Making revision is the laziest thing to do but it is so important. By writing the materials makes you memorise them as well.

5. Review the past exams
Reviewing the past exams helps us to get used the format of the questions, and - if you time yourself - can also be good practice for making sure you spend the right amount of time on each section.

6. Study in a group
We can ask the questions we don't understand and it highly possibles we can get new knowledge about the subjects because sometimes what we don't know is known by others.

7. Get enough sleep
As in the article bellow about the importance of sleeping, we need to get enough sleep so that we can concentrate while doing the exam.

8. Eat your breakfast
Breakfast is as important as sleep because you don't wanna be starving during the exams which decreases your concentration, do you?

9. Have your own stationary and ID card
Some schools use ID card as the identity to join the exam. For instance in my school, if we don't bring our student card, we'll only get the minimum score, 75. About the stationary, we need to have it our selves because we don't want to be suspected, do you?

10. Drink plenty of water
As a final tip, being well hydrated is important for our brains to work at its best. Let's drink during our revisions and on the exam day as well!

Good luck! :D

Let's Sleep Earlier!

Hola guys! As human, we do have some important habits that we cannot live without doing them such as eating, bathing, and sleeping. Everyday we do all those habits and there is the most important habit that we cannot leave. Yes, it is sleeping. Who doesn't like sleeping? For some people, sleeping is the most comfortable habit and so do I. Without sleeping, we cannot do our day normally because the lack of sleep causes bad effects for our day. We should have slept at least 7 hours per day but as a student, I do realise that ENOUGH SLEEP IS VERY IMPORTANT. I often sleep only 5 hours a day and it causes me sleepy at class. I have never been brave to sleep at class because I am scared I will be punished by the teacher hahaha. So here are some bad effects if we sleep less than 7 hours.

First, it caused less concentration. In 1997, the incidents in nuclear factories were caused by the sleepy workers. Research proves that the lack of sleep impacts our concentration and it increases the percentage of both traffic and work accidents.

Second, it causes stupidity. Believe it or not, it does. I was shocked at first while reading the second effect haha but you know, sleeping plays an important role in brain's activities in thinking and studying. The lack of sleeping can really prevent the cognitive process in many things. For instance it affects our alertness, concentration, ability to solve problems, and speed in responding.

Third, it increases the risk of heat attack. Actually, there are lots of heart illnesses that can be caused by the lack of sleep such as heart attack, high blood pressure, irregular heart rhythm, diabetes, even stroke. According to scientists' survey, there are 90% people with insomnia tend to have an unwell heart condition.

Fourth, it affects our skin because it makes our skins become yellowish, swollen eyes, panda's eyes, and even skin illnesses. When our body lacks of sleep, our cells are going to release stress hormone or so called cortisol. In a certain amount, this hormone is highly able to damage our collagen cells which are keeping our skins flexibility.

Fifth, it affects our memory. In 2009, America's and France's researches found that a work in our brain or called "sharp wive ripples" which is responsible to keep and strengthen our long-term memories. That "sharp wive ripples" is produced while we are sleeping. So the lesser time we sleep, the lesser memories we have,

Sixth, it increases the risk of death. As we can see from the six effects above, it can be said that the lack of sleep increases the risk of death. Lots of small things we think are not important such as sleeping but you know it is very important. It has bad impact for our bodies and it can lead to death. Isn't it scary?

Seventh, it tends to increase our weights. A survey in 2004 said that people who sleep less than 6 hours per day have 30% more tendency of obesity than the ones who get enough sleep, 7-9 hours. It turns out while we are working in our sleeping hours, our appetites are getting bigger so that we feel hungry then eat. That condition also stimulates the needs to eat carbohydrate.

Aren't those 7 effects scared you?? To those who like to stay up until late at night, let's sleep earlier, guys! We should manage our times smartly so that we can get enough sleep every days. We need to let our body rest to gain new strength for the next great day! :D

#XAMyTripMyAdventure

Last month, I had a class trip to Lembang exacly in January 23th. It wasn't a part of school activity because my class had planned it by ourselves. If a class trip it must be with our home room teacher, mustn't it? The unique thing of my class trip was we went together with our history teacher even we called him Ayah Dion! Hahaha. Hola Ayahhh! (I bet you'll laugh or at least smile while reading "hola ayah" muehehe)
Not all of my class member joined the outing, only 22 of 36 students joined, 7 girls and 25 boys. Our ayah also invited his friend, Pa Agus & Pa Hendi to join the trip :D We began the trip from our school then directly headed to Gunung Batu(Mount Batu). In the top of Gunung Batu, we could se such amazing views of Lembang and Bandung. To reach the top of it, we needed walk quite far, through muddy road because of raining at the night, even we needed to climb! Haha. The funny thing was when we had to walk through the muddy road, my friend wore an expensive shoes and he didn't want his shoes to become dirty until he was carried by my another friend hahaha.
Unfortunately, there were lots of clouds above Bandung whereas it was said that the view of Bandung was the better than Lembang's. But the view of Lembang was worth enough to pay the tiredness of walking and climbing onto the top of the mount.

Before climbing to the top of the mount.

Wasn't the view beautiful?

Full squad!

The girls!

Our journey didn't end at Gunung Batu we also had another 2 destinations to go. Those were around Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). We visited Education Museum and Isola Building. Education Museum's collections weren't that complete yet because it had just opened but we had so much fun there. We get lots of knowledge about education in Indonesia since the colonialism's era until now. Inside Education Museum, there was a side which was decorated like an old class. Isola Building was the last destination, we got some information about it. Having visited those places, we went home. Before going home, some of friends and I had an early dinner. It was such a great day with a bunch of great people. Going in a trip with our ayah gave us lots of information, and I was so amazed about how historic Bandung is. Looking forward for another trip with our ayah! muehehe

#SYC2015

I had such an amazing trip to end 2015 and to start 2016. I joined SAAT Youth Camp or socalled SYC which was held in Malang in December 27th, 2015 - January 2nd, 2016. SYC was a camp for Christians Youth all around Indonesia. The camp was joined by almost 1000 participants from all around Indonesia. This 2015 camp had a theme, Winning Life's Battle tuning heart into God's wisdom through The Poetical Books. At first, I almost canceled to join this camp because my friend SUDDENLY HAD CANCELED A DAY BEFORE GOING THERE -_- If I had canceled to go, I'd have missed 4 great days.

With my church friends in front of SAAT

DAY 1
I had arrived in Malang before my church friends arrived because I had went to Bali first. I went to SAAT from Jatim Park 2 by taxi accompanied by my aunty and uncle. I arrived at SAAT at around 4pm and directly reregistered then went to my hostel room! Yay! Hehe. It was nice to stay at a dorm since I had never experienced it before. The opening ceremony was good and I did not know anyone at first. My church friends and I were divided into groups and I was the only one from GII(my church) in my group :') At the first night, we had our first session, Enjoyment Under The Sun. We continued by doing a group sharing and it was the time I knew each other in my group :D I was so happy that I could know lots of new people. I took a very late bath like at about 11pm HAHA I tried to sleep early but I could not! Hahaha because there were 3 friends, Michiko, Diana, and ci Anna, who were nice to talk with :D We talked like until 2am whereas we had another adventurous day on the next day.

DAY 2
Day 2 was the last day of 2015, December 31st, 2015. It was the first time I was away from my parents during New Year's eve and New Year yet I was so grateful to be there because there are lots of brothers and sisters in Christ :) The second day was started by morning worship then continued by a session called "Life Under The Sun" which we had an outdoor activity, searching for Lady's Wisdom. There were 7 posts we needed to visit and ALMOST at all the posts my group lost. Wasn't it sad? BUTTTTTT...... GOD WAS SO GOOD! We won the game! Yay! We were the first group who found a "gold" although we did not found the real Lady's Wisdom. It was such a tiring morning and finally we could rest! In the afternoon, we had a session, God is too Wise to be Mistaken. At night there was a session, "A Time to Mourn, A Time to Dance". After that session, each of the participants was free to go anywhere around SAAT to reflect on what God had done in 2015 and what our commitment in 2016. It was a blessed night where I could thank God for everything He had done in 2015. Since it was the last night of 2015, we had a New Year's Eve party while waiting for the New Year. There were lots of foods! Haha. At 1am, I had come to my room then slept! What a blessed day...

The Winner! :D

DAY 3
It was the first day of 2016 and the last night in SAAT. I was both happy and sad. The same as yesterday, the day was started by mornig worship. There was 4 sessions on the third day. The first one was "Buy The Truth, Get Wisdom". The second one was all about love, "The Gradeur of Love" bahahaha. Then in the afternoon we were divided into 2 sessions either From Addiction to Action, which was talking about pornography, or Socializing with(out) Social Media. I chose the Socializing with(out) Social Media since I was so addicted with my phone HAHA. The last session was A Parados of Vanity and in the end of the session there was an Altar Call :) Lots of youths knelt down and surrender their lives to God. It was another blessed night! Since the third day was the last night, my group had the very last sharing session. Because of the limited time, we could not have a long sharing session whereas personally, it was the most memorable night during 3 nights in SYC. We exchanged our social medias to still keep in touch and I was more than grateful to be there, to know new amazing friends in God. Oh, I also wrote letters for my group's mentor.

DAY 4
Last day in SAAT and I was so sad to leave my new friends. Last day was also a final day for the Art and Bible Competition. My church joined it and the won the second place, Congrats!!! In the closing ceremony, my group was called to the stage as the first winner! YAY! Before going back to each of our hometowns, we took the last proper photo haha. See you soon, Yehezkiel(my groups's name)! :) It was such a wonderful 4 days in SAAT. Look forward to join this year's! But...... hahahaha. I really recommend you to join SYC2016 which is gonna be held in December 27th - 31st, 2016.

Guess if you know which I am :p
