When a Country is Weak, It Will be Bullied

Written by a Singaporean

If you follow the news of the execution of The Bali 9, I’m sure as an Asian, no matter which country you are from, you can see with both eyes open, how the Westerners are just a bunch of bullies.

This is directed at Australians, French, and Brazilians, who stay in Asian countries. If you DO NOT RESPECT the local laws, and think that you can do as you wish, then please don’t come at all. We DO NOT welcome you.

We Singaporeans, Indonesians or Malaysians prefer other tourists than your kind. Please bring your poison somewhere else.

Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia’s laws are very clear, crystal clear. We will HANG drug traffickers. What’s so difficult to understand here?

Now your citizens have been caught red-handed, but you arrogant big countries still want to try to bully developing country like Indonesia to make them submit to your demands.

USA hangs and kills thousands of drug traffickers, why don’t you make noise there? USA almost destroyed Iraq, a country that never posed threats to anybody, why didn’t you make noise there?

These people bring poisons and destroy our youths, and you ask us to forgive them? They knew the risk, they took it, what else is there to say?

Brazil, a corrupt country that is losing its fight with the drug cartels, a country with extremely high crime rates in their cities, tries to teach other countries how to punish their own citizen’s crimes…. what a joke!

Australia, another country that is losing the drug war. Australia’s teen drug abuse is among the highest in the developed countries, Google it and see for yourself. With crime gangs and drug lords infesting their cities and universities, why is the Government now trying to defend the Drug Lord’s life. What message are you sending to your youths? That drug use is nothing illegal, as even your prime minister is defending it? What a joke!

France and the rest of Europe, what else is there to say? Ever visited Amsterdam? Drug capital of the world. Junkies everywhere. Unemployed youths snorting cannabis in coffee shops… what a joke!

So to all Australians, please don’t come to Bali, please, we beg you. We really DO NOT WANT your kind there. Please don’t come to Singapore, we don’t want you here. Please go to countries where you can snort cocaine freely like Brazil or Europe.

I urge Asian countries especially Thailand and The Philippines, to shore up your Asian Pride. Don’t let these westerners invade your country culturally. When I visited most of Thai and Philippine beaches and cities, what I saw were not tourist, but gangs of Europeans and Eastern Europeans forging ties selling things from drugs to prostitution. Slowly but sure, it kills the host country eventually.

To all westerners, if your country is crumbling and failing, don’t drag us down with you.

Thank You.

Copy Paste vs Wanna Pee

Hi guysss! How's life? Sorry for not updating this blog for such a long time. I don't have enough time to update this blog because school is so busy T_T Hmm so this afternoon, I had a scholarship tuition class and something silly happened to me :') I have written it in a recount essay but I change the name since it privacy hahaha :p So please read the essay bellow ;D

By Grace Nathania

It was a cold grey afternoon with a dull sky threatening rain. The atmosphere really supported the six students in the tuition class to sleep. We were dog-tired and kept yawning, hoping that the tuition class would end fast. The teacher, Mr Alfo, tried to encourage us since the test would be coming in a short time.

Mr Alfo discussed about an important subjects that afternoon. The class was not as noisy as usual and only some student paid attention to what he was talking about. In order to raise the spirit of the students, he asked that which part we should do first in reading comprehension. Everyone was so quiet that fortunately my friend, Ray, answered his question, “Answering the questions.”

“Why should we answer the question first?” asked Mr Alfo.

“Because it is the easiest,” Ray exclaimed.

“Is there another reason why?”

Ray smiled and he did not answer it again. Mr Alfo looked the whole students with his warm smile, hoping that one would answer him. I whispered to Ray, “Because it is only a copy paste.” Mr Alfo heard that I said something, then he said, “Yes, please.” I was so aghast that I wondered why suddenly he said like that to me. I showed my confused face and then I asked him what actually I had said before. “Did not you say that you want to pee?” He asked confusedly. What? Geez, how could he say like that? Cherry blossoms bloomed on my cheeks as six pairs of eyes stared at me. Mr Alfo did not hear what I had said clearly and replied me wrongly. I did not understand how “copy paste” could sound like “want to pee” in Bahasa Indonesia.

Mr Alfo showed his confused face too, and luckily Ray defended me by telling him that I said “copy paste” not “want to pee”. I laughed a bit, then raved that I did not say I wanted to pee. I was like, oh my God how he could get what I said wrongly. I felt so embarrassed but fortunately there was only Cherry who laughed a bit at me. This thing was one of the silliest things that had ever happened in my life.

RIP Lee Kuan Yew

Source: here

Because I don't live in Singapore and I'm not Singaporean, I get this news quite late. That time, I just arrived at home from school and I directly cheeked my instagram. I looked some of my seniors and friends posted about Lee Kuan Yew. I was so shocked that Lee Kuan Yew had passed away.

Lee Kuan Yew is the founding father of modern Singapore. He built Singapore from third workd to first so that no wonder all Singaporeans honor him. He was so wise during his reign. Because of his spirit, we can see how Singapore is very developed nowadays. Singapore is one of the the central countries of medicine research in the world. We can also see that Singapore's economics growing so fast. Singapore's defense come from its own young men who should join national service when they turned 18 for 2 years. And there are a lot of things that he has done in Singapore in order to make Singapore as the first country.

Lee Kuan Yew is a very cool figure to me and thanks to Him for making Singapore such a develop country. Rest in peace, sir! :)

Let Life Flow

Yesterday, I had a quite sad conversation with one of my best friends. When we were talking about a birthday dinner, she suddenly called my name. It was very sudden and I was also so sure that she wanted to tell me something.

Then she said,"If now you are afraid of your scholarship test, now I'm afraid to be very far from all of my friends."

I was so confused why she talked like that. So I asked her why. She explained to me that her parents had got green card so that they would move to America soon. I was so aghast to hear that news. It was like seriously?

She told me how afraid she was. Could I have a friend there? Could I survive? and a lot of another question. I could not say like "be patient","keep calm","be optimist" or something like that because I knew it wasn't easy for her to face it.

She also said that now she understood why I was so afraid about my scholarship test ahead. I could only say,"Just follow your parents because they know the best thing for you. It's true that life in America is much better than in Indonesia. So I think it's fine to move there because you still can see your friends' face through video call since nowadays technologies are very developed. We will never know where life brings us. Life is like water, so let it flow. Haha."

We shared stories and both of us tried to keep our chin up although it was hard to do.

Sometimes, when we tell our problems to someone, they will only like "be patient." It's easy for them to say like that because they don't try to put their selves on the others' shoes. They don't know how hard it is for the one who face the problems. People are needed to be more understanding, aren't they?

And isn't it true that life is like water? It isn't easy to understand what God has planned for us, is it? So let life flow and let God be the current :)
