China Study Tour - Day 6 (Saturday)

That day, we should wake up early in the morning. We should also put our suitcase and thing at our teacher's room because that day we had home stay! We had our breakfast at the hotel first then we directly went to the cultural school to meet our foster family. We would stay in our foster family's house for 2 nights. Because day 6 was the last day at Xisen Hotel, I ate much for the breakfast hahaha.

I was excited to meet my foster family yet I felt scared too. I felt scared that I couldn't communicate because google translate didn't work in China. Fortunately, my foster sister, 刘育昕 (Liu Yu Xin), could speak and understand English :D The funny thing was because of differences in accent, sometimes we didn't understand what we were talking about so that we used translator on her iPad to communicate hahaha. My foster sister had a best friend, 房美辰 (Fang Mei Chen), who also took a foster child so that we played together. I was so happy knowing that thing because I could play together with my friend, Ayleen! Before going to their house, we had an ice breaker first and it was fun :D

Yu Xin, Mei Chen, Ayleen, and I went to my Yu Xin's house first because Ayleen's foster family was outside. Yu Xin gave me a watch and I gave her a bracelet which was made in Indonesia hoho. yu Xin's house was big. It had 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room, a dining room, and a kitchen. Even they had a garage because they had a car but the garage was at the first stair, Yu Xin's house was at the fifth stairs. We played together and then we took a photo. When Ayleen and her foster family came back to their house, Yu Xin invited me to go to her grandparents' house which wasn't far from hers even it was only different a block. I had lunch in Yu Xin's place and the food was delicious. I brought a potato chip from Indonesia and I gave it to them. After having lunch, we made dumpling's skin because we were gonna make dumpling for dinner. Then at around 1.30pm, Ayleen and Mei Chen came to Yu Xin's place because we would play together to a park that I didn't know what the name was hahaha. The park was soooooo beautiful because it was decorated by a wide variety of flowers, a lake, a scenery of the buildings and many more. Because of the hot weather, we ate ice cream at the park. We spent around 3 hours there for like a bonding session ahaha XD

After playing at the park, we came back home into Yu Xin's house to make dumpling together. I was so excited because finally I could learn how to make dumpling and taste the real Chinese dumpling. Ayleen and I were gonna make the dumpling together at Yu Xin's place so that Yu Xin, Yu Xin's mom, Mei Chen, Mei Chen's mom, Ayleen and I had dinner together. Waiting for Mei Chen's mom, Yu Xin's mom gave us a fruit. I didn't know what the name was but the seeds could be eaten. We made two fillings for the dumpling, pork and egg. I didn't know how many dumpling we made, but those were so many. Before eating the dumpling, we tossed our drink. Yu Xin and Mei Chen exclaimed, "Welcome to our house!"

These were only a half of the dumplings we made.

After eating, I took a bath. The clock showed 9p.m but Yu Xin's dad hadn't been at home yet. I asked her where her dad was. She answered me that her dad worked in another city. I slept together with Yu Xin at her bedroom because her bedroom is quite big. Day 6 was tiring and fun! I could learn new things, meet new people and many more :)

Pitch Perfect 2 (2015)

Before continuing my experience in China Study Tour, I wanna share this movie because this movie was sooooo interesting!

Pitch Perfect 2 is a 2015 American musical comedy film for 1h 55m

This movie is so recommended! I wish there was a capella extracurricular at my school but it seems impossible hahaha. So I give 9/10 for this movie.

China Study Tour - Day 5 (Friday)

As usual, we had to be ready at the hotel lobby at 7.20am and we had cultural class. Together with the same group as the last day, we learnt Chinese Instrument and Chinese Calligraphy. I was very enthusiast to learn those things because I also had wanted to study those things since I had been in Indonesia ahahaha. Because school was so busy, so I made this opportunity to learn those things well. Day 5 did't have so many things to do, we only went for cultural class in the morning and practiced for closing ceremony which was gonna be held on Day 7(Sunday) in the afternoon.

My groups was divided into 2 groups because the gu zheng was not enough for 15 students. Some students learnt how to play like a flute (idk what the name is hahaha) and the others, me as well, learnt how to play gu zheng. Playing gu zheng was not that hard haha, honestly it was quite easy. It was like a combination of playing guitar and piano.

After learning guzheng, we learnt Chinese Calligraphy and it was really fun! :D We laughed a lot because the teacher was quite humorous.

My groups finished quite fast so we should wait for another groups. While waiting, 3 of my friends and I asked for a permission to go to the toilet to my teacher. The toilet there was so slovenly that the smell of pee had a strong odor. I tried to be fast at the toilet because I felt disgusted hahaha. On the way to the place we had gathered, we found a cute boy because we learnt at kindergarten. I took a photo with him because he was too cute not to be captured XD After that, we had lunch and yayyyy we walked AGAIN -.- It was like we should show our effort only to make our tummy full hahaha.

Getting our lunch done, we came back to our hotel to take a nap for some hour before practicing for the closing ceremony. I took a nap until I was almost late hahaha. Because I didn't join anything for the closing ceremony, I had sat at first but then the teacher said that all the students must play in the closing ceremony. So I was asked to play guzheng although I had only had learning it for a time hahaha. We practiced for around 3 hours and then we watched a martial arts performance by the kindergarten students. Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo of them ._. haha. But again, I found a cute kid there XD After watching them, we walked to the eating place to have dinner.

My teacher said that we were gonna go to the supermarket again, but some students didn't wanna go there so that we went to the hotel first. My roommate and I chose to go to the supermarket but we were left by others because we had gone to our room first -.- whereas my roommate, my teacher and I had planned to go together and searched for a food. But it was ok because my roommate and I could tidy our things up since that night was the last night in Xisen Hotel. We also met my friend's foster mom and she gave us a fruit that I didn't know what the name was haha. My teacher also gave me an orange which the skin could be eaten. So day 5 was 75% happy, 5% sad, and 20% tired. We slept early because we needed to get up early for the next day, we had something special on the next day!

China Study Tour - Day 4 (Thursday)

That day was the day that I had awaited eagerly because we would visit 德州五中 (Dezhou No. 5 Middle School). I didn't know why I was really enthusiastic to visit local school there. As usual, we had Chinese cultural class in the morning. That day, we were divided into 4 groups. My groups and I learnt Chinese Painting and Chinese Dancing. I really liked Chinese Painting class since I had wanted to study it from a long time ago haha. We painted 枇杷(loquat) and this was the result of my painting hahaha. Isn't it good? hhahaha, jkjk!

After finishing study Chinise Painting, we moved to another class. In that class, we learnt Chinese Dancing. Before we started to learn, the previous group hadn't done yet. I didn't know what the name of the dancing was, but their dancing was very cool! I didn't take any photos of my group when we learnt it, I only got a photo of the previous group from my teacher.

After having Chinese Painting and Chinese Dancing class ended, we had our lunch. We should walk to the eating place and it was quite far from the cultural school haha. We ate for around an hour then we came back to our hotel since the local school began at 2pm. So, the local school there has a recess for 2 hours but the student must go home and come back to the school after 2 hours. I asked my teacher, "Sir, when will our school have a recess for 2 hours which we have the recess at home?" He only laughed and said it was impossible hahaha.

We were divided into 8 groups and we entered grade 7. We waited outside the school because it was still 1.40pm. We didn't forget to take photo there. So these were the photos!

I was so amazed by the school. The school was sooooo big! The class that my friends and I entered had 75 students in one class. So many, right? In my school, the maximum student in one class is 45 students. We would stay at the class for around 3 hours and follow them studying. They were studying language and I didn't understand at all until I wanted to go out from the class fast. The one who sat next to me didn't look at me at all and it made me wanna go out faster. The teacher asked me something in Chinese which I could understand, but the teacher asked the student to ask me in English. I saw that it was hard for them to speak in English, I didn't know why. The students there were very enthusiastic when we came to their school but the thing that made it difficult was our language.

I looked my friend who sat in the back and they were like sending a letter. So I followed my friend by writing, "你好， 我叫黄彩耘！:)" (Hello, my name is Huang Caiyun!) and sending the letter to the one who sat next to me. Fortunately, she replied me! Hahaha. First she had replied me in Chinese but she took the letter and rewrote it in English. From that case, I could conclude that they were good in English but it was hard for them to speak in English. 

Language subject ended and the next subject was Geography. Their Geography subject was in Chinese until I thought, "Gila, mereka ga pusing apa ya belajarnya make Zhong Wen semua?!" (Don't they get confused because the subjects are all in Chinese?!) 

Fortunately, we didn't need to stay for 3 hours because after Geography, we were asked to go to their school field. There were a lot of 9 graders students on the field. I found someone handsome there and I directly asked to take a photo together. I won't share the photo here hahaha. Fyi, all the people there mostly use QQ to get connected. I asked his QQ number so that I could email him. He said that he forgot his QQ number and asked for a pen. Then he asked me to write my email on his hand but I chose to take a paper inside my bag and wrote my email on it. Because there was no table, I made my hand as the base for writing my email. My pen was like quite stupid because the tint was difficult to go out -.- Surprisingly, he lent his back for me to write hahaha. He isn't only handsome but also kind XD

From the school, we walked to the eating place to have dinner. And yay, that day we went to the supermarket againnn! But the difference was we were allowed to walk around the mall. If in Indonesia the yakult was for only 65ml, in China the yakult is for 300ml. The yakult's bottle was also very cute until I brought it to Indonesia ahahhaa. My teacher said that only in China Pizza Hut had pizza with pork flavour. Because of my curiosity, I asked my friends to buy the pizza together and they wanted it. We came back to our hotel at 9pm because the mall closed at that time. I took a bath, played my phone and slept. It was one of the best day in the study tour!

China Study Tour - Day 3 (Wednesday)

The sun rose and my friend's alarm rang. I saw my friend wake up and just in a few minutes I fell asleep again. When I opened my eyes, I heard the sound of falling water in the bathroom which I could tell that my friend was bathing.

After my friend finished bathing, I directly went into the bathroom. We prepared our things for that day and directly went to second floor to have our breakfast. I felt happy because that day the culture class started.

We gathered at the hotel lobby at 7.20 am and we walked to the cultural school because the distance wasn't too far. We were divided into 2 groups. That day, my groups studied pecking opera and papers cutting. I didn't take any photo of papers cutting x_x Pecking opera class was very cool because the people who sang there were very awesome! They could sing high tone and my teacher said that their high tone voice came from abdominal breathing. Wasn't it cool? :D

After studying, we had our lunch in another place where we should walk to reach the place. Maybe it took around 2000 steps to reach the place from the cultural school. Honestly, to have lunch in that place, it felt like I ate in a prison HAHAHA. I told my teacher what I thought as if we had eaten in a prison. She said it was because the school wanted us to know how to live in the boarding school whereas we stayed in a hotel hahaha.

Finishing our lunch, we walked around 2000 steps again to reach the bus to go to Jinan to attend a calligraphy exhibition. When my teacher said that we were invited by the government of China, I suddenly felt quite proud HAHAHA. The journey from Dezhou to Jinan took around 2 hours. When I arrived at the museum, the exhibition was in the museum, I was amazed by both of the building of the museum and the scenery around the museum. Those were so amazingggg!!

Because we were invited, we should hear some people giving speech. They spoke in Chinese and I didn't understand at all except some words and sentences. When the others clapped, then I followed them to clap. It was funny because I didn't know anything then I clapped lol. The calligraphy exhibition was so cool. It had a lot of beautiful works. We didn't only see the calligraphy exhibition but also see another stuffs inside the museum.

When all of us were in third floor, the teacher gave us free time for an hour. My friends and I walked around the third floor and we found a huge bear statue. We also found a shop which sold a lot of cute stuffs about animals.

We came back to Dezhou and went to supermarket again! I didn't know why but I really liked to go to the supermarket hahaha. I always hunted pocky to be brought to Indonesia. I had heard from my friends that instant noodle in China was so delicious so that I bought it too. Arriving in the hotel, I took a bath and then went to my friends' room to eat the instant noodle together. It was delicious but still indomie was the best! Hahaha. I came back to my room around 11.30pm and directly slept because that day was a tiring but fun day.
